Hatfield Heath's sunday sides have been mired in controversy over the years. The football club was always very "anti" Sunday football and for many years refused to allow either a team to play at the Heath nor its players to play for other sides.
This changed in the 60s with the emergence of Pegasus - many Heath players turned for the team but it eventually folded.
In 1983 youngsters in the village tried to start a Sunday side but were not allowed to be part of the main club so they hired a ground at Hall Park caravan site - which is now under the runway at Stansted Airport. Their first name was Heath Hall Park and then Heath Park '83 and the side enjoyed much success ending up in the Premier Division before folding in the 90/91 season.
In 1994 the club agreed to officially start a Sunday side. Basically it was the Heath first team with players playing in different positions. They clinched the double in their first season - winning the Cup Final 8-0 with even Ian Kettridge grabbing a hat-trick. The side lasted for a few seasons before again folding. In 2003 following his return from the State Andy Lines started the Sunday side again - for 'one last bash' for the Oldies. Again it was very successful winning the League in the first season and coming runners-up in the Cup. After 2 seasons Spencer Bull took over as manager and now in the fourth season Stewart Jackson.
